On today's episode, we focus on Women in Horror and in our spotlight is Anna Biller who directed the indie darling The Love Witch. The Love Witch captures the 1960's vibe in a modern world. Ana Biller is a Jill of Trades, she writes, edits, produces, composer, production design, and even costumes. Top 5 horror movies of 2020

Top 5 horror movies of 2020

January 30, 2021

Ginger Snap and Johnny have come up with favorite horror movies that were released during 2020. Although it was slim pickings because a lot of the major releases were pushed back almost a year, movies like Halloween Kills, A Quiet Place 2, Candyman, Terrifier 2, and The Conjuring 3: The Devil made me do it. They were some finds because streaming platforms like Shudder, Netflix, HBOMax, and Prime all stepped it up. Ginger Snap and Johnny both there list are solid enough.

We also take a look into the future and give 5 most anticipated horror films that we're hopeful for in 2021? maybe, card subject to change.

Black Christmas ‘74

Black Christmas ‘74

December 21, 2020

We reached the end to our 3 part Christmas special Black Christmas. We take a look aback from our last 2 episodes and see how they hold to the original. We talk about the heavy themes that Black Christmas portray on screen and ask how is this movie different from all other slashers that came after Halloween? The conversation revolves around how this horror film is more mature in having discussions about women's rights in the 1970's and it how it differs from being a woman the present day, perpetuating rape culture, or we just over think it and giving this movie more credit then it deserves? Then we bring it home on why the other 2 films failed to relate to audiences during their release.

NOTE: The sound quality dips toward the bottom half of the show because of internet issues. So, we apologize for that.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! (WE HOPE)
